• UO Happenings: Capitol Hill 25th Anniversary with Sub Pop Records

They grow up right before your eyes, don't they? Last week, our Capitol Hill, Seattle store celebrated its 25th birthday with our friends from Sub Pop Records, who helped us throw a show fit for the occasion. We had live performances from artists Kyle Craft, Strange Wilds, and S., and local vendors Rachel Ravitch, Blackbird, Aurum Goods and Handmade Sammade selling their goods for the occasion.

Even better? All donations from exclusive event posters and the indigo dye workshop went to the Vera Projecta local Seattle charity that encourages youth involvement in music and arts. See what else happened at the Capitol Hill 25th anniversary below.

The Seattle music scene had a strong showing in both the artist lineup and Sub Pop shop—which offered merch from the label and an exclusive poster (with proceeds going to the Vera Project).

Things got crafty with an indigo dye workshop lead by Maddie Morton of Aurum Goods.

Blackbird scents and shaving goods, Rachel Ravitch jewelry, and Handmade Sammade minimalistic hanging decorations were on display and ready for hanging, wearing, and smelling.

The DIY fun continued with a beard oils scent workshop with Seattle-based Herbivore Botanicals.

The soundtrack to the night never sounded better thanks to Sub Pop artists Kyle Craft and Strange Wilds and Hardly Art Records' S.
