Well, only last year officially, but I've been down in Austin for the last
three years.
What are you most looking forward to about the festival?
Tacos and beer, skipping the end of winter.

I saw Sun Araw on a list, I'd like to see what they do live.

I will consume zero beverages (I'm on the all solids diet).

What's your favorite place in Austin?
I don't know all the names but we had a great time hanging out with the
locals. The guys from the band Oh No Oh My! live in Austin and took
us to a proper Texas BBQ on a commune/ranch in the middle of
nowhere. There was a stage in their backyard. It was so much fun.
How many hours will you sleep each night?
Well last time we were staying with Oh No Oh My! and 20 other people.
So there wasn't much sleeping. But we are a band who likes their sleep,
so we always find a place to lay our head in between soundchecks and
gigs.

Tex BBQ and this really cool place called Juan and a Million.
They have the best breakfast burritos for like $3.

I always end up seeing bands by surprise, like last year I saw the Circle
Jerks and one time I saw Janeane Garofalo! Just whatever I happen to
stumble upon, if I try too hard to see all the bands I want to see, I get
stressed, so I just go with the flow.

Spoon (we've been loving the new record), Broken Social Scene (one of
my favorite bands ever, and the only time I saw them the sound was
awful), and Voxhaul Broadcast (good friends from L.A. we haven't seen
in a long time).
What's your favorite place in Austin?
The Central Presbyterian Church, where we had my favorite of nine
gigs at SXSW last year. The natural reverb of the building is amazingly
suited to harmonies, and we had the pleasure of seeing Grizzly
Bear play before us as well.

A lot of our friends in the "music industry" are going to be there—
musicians, label people, writers, our booking agent, our publicist.
It's going to be fun hanging out with them.

We're playing roughly one million shows so I don't know how much
time we're going to get to see other bands play. But in a perfect world,
I'd get to see Broken Social Scene, Les Savy Fav, Black Rebel Motor-
cycle Club, Fucked Up, Surfer Blood, Real Estate and Timber Timbre.
