Booty Melt (2008)

"Booty Melt, a mash-up of re-edited YouTube clips and original flash animation, explores the conflation of cartoon violence and real or implied violence in the pop vernacular. Just as errant Looney Tunes become sinister symbols in the everyday, YouTube flattens identity and makes cartoons out of everybody. The music is a remix of "2 Step" by Extreme Animals."

Jacob Ciocci is one of the three members of Paper Rad. He also performs in the band Extreme Animals.

Untitled Liverpool Video (2003)

"This is less of a video and more of a postcard. I was living in Liverpool, UK, in a giant, empty, modern residential complex, which, incongruously, was decorated with photographs of gypsies and assorted tribespeople. Also, my bed made a sound when you hit it."

"Thursday is a traditional cel animation drawn, inked, painted, from beginning to end without testing the animation because I didn't know there was such a thing as 'testing' animation! It is based on a true story written to me in a letter from a friend."

Peter Sutherland is a New York based artist who works mainly with photography and video, and has published several photographic monographs with publishers such as Powerhouse, Nieves and PAM. One of his favorite films is Aguirre: Wrath of God by Werner Herzog.

Melody Masks (2009)

"Melody Masks is an animated music video for the Lucky Dragons song of the same name, taken from our just-released collection of digital songs "Rara Speaks." The video is made of flowers that are sometimes blue and sometimes yellow, in the shape of hands, or sometimes in the shape of everything but hands, or sometimes actual hands, flashing signs and flickering and making themselves into layers and fading in and out."

Lucky Dragons refers to any recorded, performed, installed, packaged, shared, suggested, or imagined pieces by Luke Fischbeck and Sarah Rara. Lucky Dragons were included in the 2008 Whitney Biennial and the Tokion Creativity Now Conference.
