Philly-born songwriter Santi White's success has been a long time coming. After writing and producing R&B singer Res's debut album, How I Do, which was loved by critics but slept on by fans, White went on to front Philadelphia punk band Stiffed before finally striking gold recording solo as Santogold. Her eponymous debut album was one of 2008's most lauded albums, and duly so, and she has collaborated with Diplo, Spank Rock and Amanda Blank.
