What will you be wearing this season?
Right now I am going through a sexy moment with my personal style. Everything has to be thrown on in 2.5 seconds but drape and fall in all the right places. Lots of oversized tops worn over dark tights with ankle booties. Lingerie mixed with cropped menswear pants. A lacy bra peeking out from under an oversized tank worn under a shrunken blazer. Toss an oversized leather sack over my shoulder and I am out the door. Oh...and my top hat as well!
My philosophy is that if you have a great pair of shoes and an awesome bag you can wear a paper sack and still look stylish. Here are some essentials that I will be toting this season — sans the paper sack, of course:
We Who See Peep Toe Foldover Bootie
There is something about a black ankle boot that instantly makes any outfit feel incredibly sexy. I especially love the way they look after they have been worn in.
Paul & Joe Sister Leather Bucket Bag
This is the ultimate leather sack. I must be able to fit every facet of my life in one sack that I can wear season after season until I find the next bag that trumps it. This bag is definitely a winner.
Tights
What I love about tights is that the more opaque they are, the shorter the skirt gets. I pair these with short frilly skirts and tunics — they barely cover my bum for a fun and sexy outfit that I can run around all day in.
Felt Bowler
I am a big fan or top hats and bowlers. They are very reminiscent of the late 18th century Romantic era. A great hat will always be a staple for me, and on a day that I am running late it can quickly help to pull my look together. I particularly love this bowler in blue.
Sweater Knit Ruana
This scarf is totally adorable and functional. On a mild day I wrap it over a dark leather jacket and heels.
