What are you wearing right now?
An awesome ankle-length cotton dress that has a million buttons down the front. Today I pulled it up to my knees, belted it and wore it with dark tights and ankle boots. Tonight, unbelted and back down to my ankles it will be my pajamas.

What are your plans for the upcoming holidays?
For Christmas I will visit my family in Atlanta and ring in the New Year with friends in Paris.

Where do you feel most inspired?
Anywhere really...my eyes are always peeled for inspiration. Street markets in faraway places are my favorite places to be. At home in New York, Brooklyn inspires me. The people here are smart, edgy, and to-the-pulse with fashion. They put a lot of thought into their look versus their outfit. At my flea market some of the hippest girls seem to crawl out from nowhere and appear in the booth. Oftentimes I photograph them because they are so brilliantly put-together. I also get a lot of inspiration from old movies, as well as the 18th & 19th century Romantic movement in which style was full of emotion and beauty with many exotic elements. Oh the ruffles, the layers, the lace, the sleeves, and the full shoulders — the most beautiful things in life have ALREADY been created.

If you could learn to do anything right now what would it be?
I think I would want to learn several languages so that I could speak to almost anyone anywhere in the world. I wouldn't mind learning to play the electric guitar either, I often dream of being a rock star... . Too bad I can't sing.
