For the opening of our newest UO store in Honolulu, we teamed up with the San Francisco artist Kristin Farr to design and paint a giant mural inside the store (click here to read the interview and see the studio visit we did with her at home in California). Done in her signature bright, geometric style that's "all about color," Kristin worked with the Pow!Wow! artist network and the UO design team to match the palette they were working with to design the store. Based on an initial sketch idea, "The mural could maybe be seen as an abstraction of sand and sea," she says. We documented the process of watching the mural coming together — take a look at the making of, and then visit it in person at UO Hawaii!
