• The UO Nice List: Rebecca Willa Davis from Nylon

Rebecca Willa Davis may work for the fashion-forward magazine NYLONbut that doesn't stop her from wearing Nick & Nora pajamas every time she's home for the holidays.

    Introduce yourself

I’m Rebecca Willa Davis. I’ve been around the world but currently find myself as NYLON’s online executive editor.

What do you love/loathe most about the holidays?
I love how everyone’s genuinely jolly.  Plus, presents. Duh. Loathe is a strong word, but most Christmas songs get old by, like, November 30.

What’s your gift-giving style? Personalized presents, or a Starbucks card for everyone?
Definitely personalized, though I am sometimes guilty of buying gifts that I’d like to think someone would want, rather than what they would actually want. Call it aspirational gift-giving.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?
When I was a teen I got a pair of Nick & Nora pajamas. They seemed like the coolest thing EVER and I still wear them every time I go home to visit my parents.

What’s the worst gift you’ve ever received?
A re-gifted beauty set that still had the original card—that was what tipped me off.

If you could ask for anything this year (and money is no object) what would you ask for?
A karaoke room attachment for my apartment. Or a trip to Bali. I’d happily accept both.

What is your favorite holiday tradition that you share with friends or family?
Latkes! I know everyone says this, but my mom really does make the best ones.

What’s your favorite holiday snack or food?
See above. Also, Trader Joe’s Candy Cane cookies are like Oreos on steroids.

Without looking it up, what are the ingredients in eggnog?
Um, a carton of Hood Eggnog and a cup, right?

Any idea how you will spend New Year’s Eve this year?
Nope—I usually don’t have any idea until about 11:50 PM that night.

If you could be any character from a holiday movie, who would you be and why?
Kevin McCallister, because: BB guns, junk food, gangster movies and punking some real-life thugs.

If you could plant a New Year’s kiss on your dream crush, who would that be and why?
Richard Hell circa 1975. He’d probably have stinky breath, but whatever.

What was your proudest moment from this past year?
When my rendition of “Linger” got me a 99-out-of-100 grade at karaoke.

What are you looking forward to most about 2013?
The world not ending. Also, another year of amazing content on NYLONmag.com!
