NYFW: Alexander Wang S/S '14
New York Fashion Week is well underway right now, so I thought I'd share one of my favorite collections that was shown over the weekend, from Alexander Wang. Every season, Alexander Wang's collection are always sleek and as cool as can be, and this time around he played with classic pieces like men's oxford shirts, trench coats, and also managed to re-imagine a pair of boxers into a chic short. Plus, I also loved his sheer argyle print. I'm pretty sure Alexander Wang's bringing back '90s prep, in a totally new way.
Typically, you never see Alexander Wang's name physically printed on anything in his collections, but for Spring '14, he decided to bring back that cool '90s logo craze in his own way, with laser cut tops and dresses reading his name. The best part about it is that the logos manage to create a rad optical illusion pattern for each garment. I'm thinking the pieces from this collection will be wanted just as much as a vintage DKNY logo sweater. Also, how about those chunky pastel Mary Jane shoes? Want. (Photos via Vogue.com) —Maddie
