KAWS circa 1997 permalinkKAWS has been blogged to death over the past 5+ years and we’re definitely guilty of giving him additional exposure. That said, this video is worth a few minutes of your time as it documents his extremely creative and prolific transitional period of subverting bus stop and phone booth ads. This work garnered a tremendous amount of press and speculation and resulted in the internationally lauded post-graffiti art star we know today.
