Mayfield Park for picnics, Okay Mountain and Birdhouse for art openings, Salvage Vanguard Theater for performances.
Who is your style icon?
Françoise Sagan—she was an enfant terrible writer whose novels caused a stir in France in the 1950s and 60s…half the time she dressed like a lady and half the time like a little boy.
What is your favorite piece of clothing?
The tooled caramel-brown leather belt with four buckles that my mom wore in the 1970s. I love hand-me-downs with personal history!
Any tips for out-of-towners?
Don’t try to go to everything, you’ll be burnt out within the first 48 hours.
What are the best shows you've seen in Austin?
Last year: Beach House at Red 7 and the Crystal Stilts at Spider House; Peter and the Wolf and Castanets at Okay Mountain in 2007.
