Lace was a big part of Lover's last collection, but this season they've gone all out with White Magick—a range of incredibly intricate dresses modelled on some of their classic styles. - Nadia
Lower Plenty, the suburb, is a pretty unexciting place on the outskirts of Melbourne. Lower Plenty, the band, is a four-piece whose music turns the monotony often associated with the outer suburbs into something really pleasant and listenable. It's a soft country, hazy place you want to go. - Nadia
Turn your legs into green-eyed cats, cowboys and indians, or Mexican Day of the Dead with Uptights by Sydneysider Penny Kokinelis. Every limited edition pair is handmade in her apartment, so best allow three weeks for sewing and delivery. - Nadia
The Chosen One is a selection of one-off vintage items chosen by Melbourne's finest taste-makers Perks and Mini. Zucca, Comme des Garcons, Junya Watanabe and Margiela are all currently in the mix and the plan is to offer seasonal clothing, accessories and books. - Nadia
The numbers are coming up in New Zealand at the mo, where the good folks at twentysevennames have unveiled their latest collection Nine Lives. The range seems to take its lead from straight-A school girls, sporty chicks, girls next door, and girls behind the back shed—proof that there's more than one way to live, and you can look damn fine whichever way you choose! - Nadia
The latest Canyons video is electric. Filmed on the Sydney's harbour beaches and spliced with cinema bits from all over, it's the handiwork of French directors Fleur and Manu. The song's a cracker too. - Nadia
Not sure why this little model lady looks so cross, because the new SS 12/13 collection of BLAK Luxe Luxe is so sweet and pretty it makes me want to smile and flirt a bit. Perhaps it has something to do with the rumoured 'switch-blade' patterning hidden in the floral prints. Owch. - Nadia
Bet you didn't know that Pom Poms take their name from Pompons, a breed of Chrysanthemum. We sure didn't until we met Poms, the new range of wonderfully round and sightly soft jewellery by Melbourne-based designer Adriana Giuffrida. Poms are handmade using semi-precious stones with awesome names like Rhodonite, Amazonite, Labradorite, and Sodalite; sterling silver beads, and materials such as wool, bamboo, and silk. Just like no two Chrysanthemums are alike—Poms are one of a kind. Adriana currently makes rings and earrings, and is happy to customise pieces should a particular stone or color combination take your fancy. - Nadia
Toni May has the boho rock, wood, and leather jewelry thing all wound up. And feathers! Rock, wood, leather and feathers. Great combo. Fittingly the creations (by Sydney lady Laura Byrne) are called things like 'Flame' cuff, 'Fire on the Ocean' bracelet and 'Fly With Me' cuff. We might just do that.-Nadia
Sydney artist Kelvina-Jo Smith works with oh-so-soft wools, supple leathers, and wood to create eco-conscious wearable artworks. Imagine breezing 'round the house on a Sunday in one of these things? Beautiful. You can see her work at Poepke. -Nadia
INCU has done a darn clever thing and created a ladies label to match the very down-to-earth and wearable men's brand—Weathered. Picnic shorts, chinos, blazers and tank dresses are where it's at for the Weathered gal. Sounds like a gal we'd like to know.-Nadia
This hauntingly elegant video (directed by Lorin Askil) was played during Dion Lee's recent show at London fashion week. Can't look away. - Nadia
While all the other musos were making videos, Ladyhawke was making an app. Using it is easy. Click here if you're on iPhone. Click here if you're on Android. Download the thing, select Virtual Reality, then hold your phone up to the above vid and press play. -Nadia
Kloke has pulled out all the stops for Autumn/Winter with juicy layered fabrics made for wandering the wild outdoors. The beautiful supporting campaign, shot by photographer Tim Hillier, captures just that. - Nadia
The hats had it. From the top: Anna Langdon, Ksubi, Sally Edwards (graduate), Laura Huishan Li (graduate), Kuwaii.-Nadia
There was an urban-Western thing going on at Livia Arena. Sultry cowgirls and ranchy ladies were making the rounds (as was a imposing-yet-intriguing lady-sheriff silhouette). Keen to see what the Melbourne-based designer (who was a corporate banker) does next. - Nadia
Jolet's future babes ruled the runway. With their simultaneously greasy-fried hair, their cityscape prints and their reflective shades, the Jolets came, saw (possibly better than most under those lights), and conquered. A bit about Jolet: her full name is Jolet Ucchino, she's a one-time graphic designer who turned her eye to fabrics in 2009. If this show's anything to go by, she knows her stuff and we can't wait to see more. - Nadia
With its teepee and cacti, Sunday's runway suited the Gorman gals to a... tee. They bopped down the catwalk in prints and pattens of all sorts (diamonds, spots, stripes and squares) topped off with cosy beanies, scarves and pom poms. One lucky model donned a 100%-pure pom pom hat, which I very much wanted to swipe and snuggle. - Nadia
Every little girl is somewhat influenced by her ma, but Rosemary Masic has taken things a step further. Her label, Nevenka, is named for her mother and influenced by her Eastern Euro heritage. A learned pattern maker, Rosemary hones in on the finer details: precise cuts, detailed tailoring and super meticulous finishes. Her girly chic LMFF show would have made any mother proud. - Nadia
