Pink Mountaintops, aka Stephen McBean, sounds like the Carter Family with a dose of lo-fi fuzz rock. The songs are sweet and romantic yet, like a bad relationship, have enough drama to make them hard to walk away from.

Cross My Hart is designer and illustrator Helen Eady's site, full of girly, playful and, most importantly, funny stuff.
Komakino
Komakino is a pop-up menswear boutique with a severe case of A.D.D. After a couple of months in one Vancouver locale, they’ll close up shop and hang up their shingle in the next off-the-radar spot. It’s not just the mystique around the store’s transitory nature that’s worth noting, though. It’s also their stellar collection of European and Japanese avant garde designers that includes Rick Owens, Raf Simons, and Damir Doma.
Graves
Art collective Fighting’s online zine, Graves, is a collection of collages, photographs, and watercolors that are beautiful, textural and disorientingly haunting. The collective’s website features t-shirts and more projects from the crew. (Via Bored and Beautiful.)

La Casa Gelato in Vancouver is known for its 218 plus flavors which include: dandelion, gorzonzola, wasabi, garlic, curry, corn, and many other not so obvious choices. Do not be afraid. Employees serve out samples upon request. And yes, they have chocolate and vanilla.
Bend Sinister
The good people at Beyond Robson hipped us to Bend Sinister, who they say are Vancouver's best band. That's a bold call.
Track And Field Designs
Track And Field Designs (no, not that TRKFLD) are from North of the border and they've definitely added a burst of individuality to the ho-hum world of laptop bags. This one is handmade and hand screened. Nice color too. (Via Poppytalk.)
Stussy Rockers Galore Tour
Stussy's Rockers Galore Tour, featuring the photography of Josh Cheuse, stops off at Goodfoot tonite. Book launch and exhibition from 7-10 pm. We'll leave it up to you to search out the afterparty.
