In an abandoned school, British theatre company Punchdrunk has set up Sleep No More, an interactive installation that's a classic Shakespearean tale (MacBeth) told through the lens of a Hitchcock movie. It comes with a warning that the production contains both strobe lights and nudity, so we're totally sold.
Through November 27, Dead of the Living Night is up at Space 1026. Artwork by Jonathan Cammisa and Jonah Birns includes a recreation of a horror video store, imagery crafted from gore magazines, found photos and movies stills, and a life-sized stack of monster corpses. Sounds positively terrifying and absolutely awesome.

This Friday, stop by Reward to catch a whiff of Six Scents Series Two, designer fragrances from Toga, Henrik Vibskov, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Richard Nicoll, House of Holland and Damir Doma, and preview the short film that accompanies each scent. Smells like fashion.
Space 15 Twenty's new shoe boutique opens this Friday, with a special performance by DJ Lynnetic and shoes from Candela NYC, Colonial Madness, Dr. Martens, Frye, Toms, Marais and oh so much more. They're even stocking scents from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, and if you stop by on opening night, you can sample goodies from the Green Truck and Minx Nails.
These shoes were made for shopping! Seriously, they were.
Starting on Wednesday in Eastside, Birmingham, is not just an event, but The Event, a five-day contemporary arts festival. Events within the event include artist Mark Essen's roaming record exchange, an on-site creation of the seventh issue of An Endless Supply, and a performance of "and you shall know us by the trail of Morris Men," where the Morris Men will escort the audience from venue to venue and kick off the proceedings with a dance.
Who Shot Rock & Roll: A Photographic History, 1955 to the Present opens today at the Brooklyn Museum. One of the first major museum shows to give rock 'n' roll photogs their due, this is something we can't wait to check out.
Obey and The Crosby have teamed up to throw a costume party this Friday, October 30th from 9pm to 2am. Photobooth, psychedelic visuals, djs and real ghosts included.
This Saturday, The Reformation Pop-Up shop opens at Space 15 Twenty, featuring Reformed, Reformation, Chris Habana, Made Her Think, Veda, tons of vintage and DJ Zach Rosencrantz. It's pretty much a guaranteed good time.

This Saturday, Main Street: An Exhibition of Video Art and Animation opens at Gallery Space at Space 15 Twenty. Curated by David Jacob Kramer, the show features the work of Peter Sutherland, Lori D., Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Andrew Sutherland, Miranda July, Lucky Dragons, Kris Moyes, Jacob Ciocci and Melanie Bonajo.
Here Is Now opens this Saturday the 24th when, for one night only, 11 artists take over a storefront on 6th and Main Sts. Curated by Natasha Lands and Victor Wang, the show features the work of The Dark, The Wizard Gang, Robert Means, Kyle Scully and seven others in this blink-(or get too drunk)-and-you'll-miss-it gallery.
