We love sunshine and summer dresses. Forecast for thunder and rain tomorrow. Please, no...this is not the kind of music festival where you want to wear your wellies.
Real Estate are just finishing up their hazy early morning set, and by 'early morning,' we mean noon. The New Jersey-based quartet brought out tons of devoted fans, and we're feeling especially appreciative of bassist Alex Bleeker's hat and singer Martin Courtney's tye-dye.
The creativity and relaxed attitudes toward life among people here.

After Memory Tapes canceled because he lost his voice, Small Black stepped in to fill the slot. They killed it, and put on an amazing show. Thanks, guys!
The Golden Filter's Penelope is half-Stevie Nicks, half-Debbie Harry. Her tambourine and dance skills were totally impressive, as is her style (No, she's not wearing pants, and yes, she can totally get away with that). We caught up with Penelope and Stephen for a few minutes after their show—watch the video here.
It's always refreshing to watch a band that really has fun, and Warpaint is definitely one of those bands—evidenced by lots of onstage giggle fits. Their set was packed, and it was one of 11 shows they'll play over the course of four days. Watch one of their songs here.
It takes a lot to rock a stage by yourself, and it also takes a lot to draw a crowd at noon in a town where the parties frequently go all night. Toro Y Moi managed to do both, and it was an inspired, awesome show. The 23-year-old also has tons of personality.
DâM-FunK closed down the day, telling the crowd that he didn't give a fuck about Tiger Woods and they shouldn't either. Then he got everyone dancing. See video of him performing here.
Having just interviewed Joan Jett for the UO Blog, we can't help but think she would definitely approve of Scanners' lead singer Sarah Daly, who is an incredibly talented musician and also sexy as hell.
After just seeing his set, we're in love with Villagers, and Villagers is in love with those puppies. We took video of him serenading them here. This is the Dublin native's first time performing in Austin as Villagers, and he's got several shows lined up over the next few days.
We're giving away these awesome Drugs Roll & Sex Rock totes to a few lucky music lovers over the next couple of days. Keep in touch via Facebook and Twitter to find out how!
We're giving away Diana Mini by Lomography cameras to our bands, and Lisa from Jookabox was our first recipient. Jookabox played their first of five Austin shows in our Back Lot, and Lisa has promised to take photos over the next few days and send them back to us.
One of the best things about Austin is the people—they're laidback, friendly and super creative. Here, meet Khrystean, a local who's a student in philosophy and Japanese culture, and also a photographer.
