Ever since L'Officiel Hommes Magazine has been taken over by entrepreneur and genius artist Andre Saraiva, I have been glued to their pages. And I'm now more than excited to have just found out about the blog he's been keeping for them, which is sort of Andre's 'Purple Diary'. X - Jen
It was a boring morning as I rolled along Highway 1 in Vietnam. I’m getting fewer Hellos in South Vietnam than I did in the North. I headed on towards My Lai. I decided to take a back road to cut off some distance. It was a great decision—beautiful landscape, quiet roadand quaint villages.
But then the road turned to mud. I slopped through it; I rode where I could, and pushed where I couldn’t. It was really tough going, and I almost fell sideways a couple of times from exhaustion. And my shoes fell into big mud pits a couple of times giving me soppy mud-water socks.
Check out this video that James Franco's new endeavor, Rabbit TV, made about our friends that were part of the "Good As New" exhibition at the Ed Varie Gallery. What made this exhibition special was that it came together when Vancouver based photographer David Ziber talked about his 'dream exhibition' in an interview with the website On White Walls. Read the story of it's inception here. Congratulations guys! - Jennilee
We always thought Annie Erin Clark looked a lot like a porcelain doll, but St. Vincent's new video for "Cheerleader" proves that she was one all along.
Netstyl.es features T-shirts made by some of the best artist and designers from the world wide web. Because really, who knows style better than the internet?
The Tom FordAW11 collection is now all over the internet and beyond but I can't stop obsessing over the Kidassia fur coat. When I found out it was a mere $14K, not a huge deal, is possibly when I realized I may just have to stick to TF Beauty. X - Jen
In honor of Valentine's Day (and our latest contest, The Crush) we've asked some of our employees to spill the beans on their crushes—past and present.

"While most girls my age were swooning over boys like Joey McIntyre and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, I had my eyes set on a man. A man who sang ballads that would make any girls heart melt, a man who wore leather jackets and muscle tees, a man who used a whole can of hairspray just to get the perfect amount a frizz. That man was Richard Marx.
Richard Marx was my first in many ways: my first concert, my first cassette tape and my first crush. Now as you can imagine, finding Richard Marx paraphernalia was hard to come by. There was no Richard Marx bedding set or lunch boxes and even posters were limited. Of course, I was resourceful, as anyone for their crush would be, and I found four piano music sheets that featured a different picture of him, looking hotter than the next. I'm sure my Mom bought these as an incentive for me to practice the piano but I had different plans for them—to be displayed side by side in my room next to my bed. Every night I would kiss the pictures in order from left to right before getting under the covers to wake up the next day to kiss them good morning.
I can still recite all of the songs word for word from Repeat Offender and when one of his songs randomly plays while I'm shopping or comes on the radio, a small chill goes down my spine and my heart skips a beat, because you never forget your first crush. I guess Richard himself said it best, "Hold on to the memories." Thanks Richard, I will."
Inspired by the Chinese Year of the Dragon, i-D Magazine is releasing 12 different covers for their Pre-Spring Whatever the Weather issue. I told myself I wouldn't start looking at spring or summer collections until we had some sort of winter but I'm no longer holding my breath. Instead, I'm looking forward to shorts, bucket hats, chambray, fun patterns and all the things that the Japanese brand Engineered Garments does so well. Check out the rest of their lookbook here. -Bob
Woo your crush and donate to a good cause at the same time. Get all the lovely details here. There's gonna be a lot of making out on the dancefloor at this Making Time, we think.

The new video for "Brothers" from The War on Drugs is like an incredibly short horror film for the ADD generation. It has all of the key elements: a girl who is not too good on her feet, a creepy guy who toys with said girl, an ominous dark house with no escape and—of course—an ending where we are left with more questions than we had at the start. We're ready for a sequel!
I die for 'leather jacket #5' in purple from BLK DNM! I am, in fact, quite enamored with this label as of late. I mean, have you also seen the goat suede cape?! X - Jen
Attention all zinesters! Museum of Modern Art in NYC is having an exhibition called Print Studio (4 West 54th St) right now. My fav thing to do there is to peruse the photo books from the Reanimation Library, make photocopies, and then go back into the images, manipulating them with an acetone transfer pen. There will be demos and workshops there and everything is totally free. It's open Wednesday through Monday from 11am-4pm and runs until March 9. -Maggie Lee
